The Course provides an overview of diplomacy management in today’s global environment. It examines strategic planning for international relations and the role of diplomatic institutions in shaping national and organizational objectives. The course defines diplomacy, diplomatic strategy, and soft power, and describes how diplomatic practices and skilled negotiators can be core competencies for states and organizations. Strategic challenges will be discussed regarding conflict resolution, cross-cultural communication, geopolitical risks, and managing international partnerships. Additionally, the development and use of diplomatic performance metrics are explored, and specific strategic diplomacy effectiveness tools such as stakeholder mapping, negotiation frameworks, influence assessment, and diplomatic audits are discussed.
